Music Mania opened for business on 1 October 1987 in Pukekohe.  This was a small shop that grew rapidly and was soon busting at the seams with stock.  Seeing the potential of the Manukau area we opened the larger Manukau City shop on 1 February 1990 and five months later transferred the total stock to the new store where we could concentrate all our efforts. Now in 2008, due to public demand, we have opened a second branch again in Pukekohe.

Now, after well over 25 years in business, Music Mania is one of the largest, independent, musical instrument and print music retailers in New Zealand. 

Music Mania joined the “Music Works” wholesale group from its conception and we enjoy the benefits of the groups buying power and highly successful marketing campaigns.

On 12th August 2013 Music Mania sold it's interest in the Manukau store to the “Music Works” group. We now continue to operate solely from our Pukekohe store where we enjoy the atmosphere of this vibrant and exciting town.
